Empowering communities in Sri Lanka

In the global textile industry, innovation is often framed through the lens of technology – automation, robotics or advanced fabric science. While we’re incredibly proud of our £15m automated warehouse and our plastic-to-fabric initiatives, we know that true innovation must also be social. The most advanced supply chain in the world means nothing if it doesn’t value the human beings at its heart, which is why we’ve placed our manufacturing epicentre in our own facility in Sri Lanka. From this base we’re proving that the production of high-quality workwear, PPE and corporate uniforms can be a powerful engine for community empowerment.

Setting a new standard for ethical labour

Removing barriers

We didn’t choose Sri Lanka by accident. The nation has a long-standing reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and a sophisticated garment sector, but we wanted to go further than the industry standard. For us, being an ethical partner means ensuring that our staff are treated with the dignity they deserve. This starts with financial security. By providing wages that sit comfortably above the legal minimum, we’re helping our team members build stable lives for themselves and their families.

But empowerment is about more than just a payslip. It’s also about removing the barriers that can prevent people from thriving in the workplace. We provide free transportation for our staff, ensuring they can get to and from our facility safely and without the financial burden of travel costs. It’s a small change that makes a massive difference to daily life, reducing the stresses of the commute and keeping more money in our workers’ pockets.

Investing in the next generation

Exceptional quality

We’re also deeply committed to supporting the working parents in our team. By providing access to childcare, we’re ensuring that mums and dads don’t have to choose between their careers and their children’s well-being. This focus on family support is a key part of our culture; we’re not just looking for labour, we’re looking to support a community. When our people feel supported at home, they bring their best selves to the factory, resulting in the exceptional quality you see in every piece we produce.

A supply chain with a soul

Total control

Our local impact in Sri Lanka is a vital pillar of our wider mission. Whether it’s our zero to landfill policy in the UK or our carbon-neutral logistics goals, every decision we make is designed to leave the world better than we found it. We believe that procurement teams shouldn’t have to choose between cost-efficiency and ethical integrity.

By owning our manufacturing epicentre, we have total control over every stitch. But this is about more than compliance; it’s about a genuine, warm connection with the people who make our vision a reality. When you choose our workwear, PPE and corporate uniforms, you’re supporting a model of manufacturing that puts people first. It’s innovation with a human face, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
