Meet the team behind the milestone
We’re thrilled to announce a monumental achievement here at WWUGL: back in November, our in-house Branding Department officially embellished its one-millionth garment this year!
This milestone is a testament to the hard work, dedication and expertise of our entire team. To celebrate, we sat down with our Embellishment Manager, Sarah Bennett, to talk about the journey, the benefits of in-house branding and the incredible people who made this possible.
A game-changer
WWUGL has been committed to providing in-house branding services for a number of years, and the impact has been dramatic.
⚡ Reduced lead times:
Branding garments on-site has significantly sped up delivery times for our customers.
🛠️ Bespoke solutions:
We now have the flexibility to offer highly customised options, including individual names, numbers and job titles directly onto garments.
🎨 Quality control:
Our team designs and proofs everything internally, allowing us to highlight and resolve potential issues with logos and placement before production begins – a service we are truly proud of.
The millionth garment: Essential safety wear
While the exact piece is hard to pinpoint, we believe the millionth garment was a piece of heat-sealed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for Network Rail. This essential safety wear is a perfect example of how our branding service provides protection and necessary identification for wearers while they are at work.
Meet the manager
Sarah first joined the company back in 2014 in Purchasing. After a stint away, she returned in May 2024 to set up the Branding Department, create crucial processes and manage the creation of all customer logos for embroidery and heat sealing. In January 2025, she was promoted to Embellishment Manager and has now been with the department for 18 months.
Sarah’s biggest challenge & proudest moments
The biggest challenge has been training and educating the team on the purpose behind our processes. By helping staff understand the flow from one department to the next, we’ve improved communication and efficiency across the board.
Aside from this milestone, Sarah’s proudest moments come from seeing the weekly output of the team and the orders they complete. She also enjoys the close collaboration with Account Managers, showing them the full scope of branding services available to their customers.
It takes a team.
The colleagues supporting the milestone
Reaching one million garments is a company-wide effort. Our Branding Department works hand-in-hand with two other crucial teams:
🤝 Purchasing:
This team plays a massive role with constant communication about customer back orders, stock arrival dates and order priorities to ensure the Branding Department always delivers the right garments at the right time.
📦 Warehouse:
The Warehouse team is a huge support, working with Sarah’s team to ensure that unbranded stock gets delivered smoothly and ready for branding. Once the branding work is done, they take over, decanting and completing internal purchase orders for delivery.
The people behind the numbers
Sarah manages a team of 25 dedicated professionals who make the magic happen every single day. Here is a breakdown of the team and what makes them shine:

Lynne manages all complex, date-specific and large orders, personally ensuring deadlines are met.
